Forums: Watercooler > Closing some inactive community discussion pages

Several of the community discussion pages on the wiki are inactive and don't appear to be vital to the wiki. My proposal is to close and delete the following discussion pages:

  • Requests for permissions: It would be much more efficient for anyone to just contact an active admin for chat moderator rights and an active bureaucrat for rollback and custodian rights. This page can easily be redirected to the Administrator requests information page.
  • AutoWikiBrowser/Requests: Again, it would be a lot more efficient to just contact a bureaucrat with this request. Not to mention this page has never been used.
  • Requests for undeletion: This page doesn't seem necessary. If someone recreates a page previously deleted per a deletion discussion, and this page has not been substantially improved, then it should be deleted per CSD G4. If it has been substantially improved, but you still think it should be deleted, then another request for deletion can be created. There has only ever been one undeletion discussion created, and that discussion was in the wrong forum.
  • Help desk: This page just isn't being used, and very few people watch over it. The last time someone added a new topic was back in 2012. This page can be reformatted as a directory (much like the Administrator requests page).

This would leave us with only five community discussion pages to look over: Featured articles, Featured images, Requests for deletion, Requests for adminship, and the Watercooler. Smithing (talk | contribs) 16:17, March 10, 2015 (UTC)

Closed - I'll go ahead and redirect these project pages. Smithing (talk | contribs) 09:32, March 19, 2015 (UTC)
