DaNASCAT sent me this message on my talk page, and I thought I'd see if anyone else wants to give their input.
I've been asked to look into our custom user groups across Wikia this month and identify locations where custom groups are either redundant or unnecessary and try to eliminate them. The reason for this change is that Wikia, as we become more of a SAAS (Software as a Service)-centered software architecture, are developing a User Permissions service and custom groups greatly, greatly complicate an efficient service plus increases the odds of bugs in these "edge cases".
I'd like to see if you'd be open to migrating your only "Custodian", Scuzzy Beta, to a different position such as "Content Moderator", which has both permissions included in Custodian. Alternatively, we could give the two permissions to "rollback" and add him there if you are disinclined to Content Moderator. What are your thoughts? Thanks! --DaNASCAT
