Nutshell This page in a nutshell: AutoWikiBrowser (AWB) is a program that makes performing tedious repetitive tasks quicker and easier. Users should check every edit they make using the tool, not make any controversial changes with it without achieving consensus, and follow all policies and guidelines when using the software.

AutoWikiBrowser (abbreviated AWB) is a semi-automated MediaWiki program that makes performing tedious repetitive tasks quicker and easier. It is basically a browser that automatically opens up a new page when the last is saved. When set to do so, it can suggest some changes that are usually meant to be incidental to the main change.

Rules of use

  1. Check every edit before you save it. Make sure you understand the change you are making to the page.
  2. Don't edit too quickly. If you find you are making more than a few edits a minute, make a bot account.
  3. Don't make any possibly controversial changes using the software without achieving consensus.
  4. Follow all the RuneScape Players Wiki policies and guidelines when using the software.

Using AWB

  1. Contact an active bureaucrat with your request.
  2. Download the software here. AWB typically works only for users who have Windows 2000/XP or newer versions of Windows.
