Drakie

  • This is a good article, well-written, I think. Astronix
  • This is a really good article. Indiales1 (talk)
  • Support - A good article, it should be a featured article. Green partyhat Mobbit Talk

Comments - I think it has a long way to go before it becomes feature-worthy material. Just a few observations:

  • The first sentence refers to him as one of the most popular players in the game. It's really difficult to judge this, considering there are so many famous players and each of them could be very popular. Thus, I think this claim is likely to be disputed and should be backed up by a reliable source, or removed if that's not possible, per Citing sources.
  • The prose could be improved. For example, this does not flow well in the article:
"Drakie devoted considerable time to a clan called Legends Of Glory until the clan closed. He has 200 million experience in Cooking. As of 2012, he does not appear in the hiscores."
  • Under the "RuneScape career" heading, it states "In late 2011 he quit playing RuneScape, explaining that he thought "RuneScape was getting very boring and easy"." Per the Citing sources guideline linked above, quotes need to be cited.
  • The lead mentions information that the body does not. For example, it says that Drakie started playing in 2003 after a friend showed him the game. The lead is supposed to summarize the body of the article per RSP:LEAD, and the one in the Drakie article doesn't.

There are still some grammar issues that need sorting out, but the article looks much better than before. Smithing (talk | contribs) 23:30, September 15, 2013 (UTC)

Support - Looks good Haidro Talk 07:27, September 10, 2013 (UTC)

More comments - The article has good coverage, although there are some confusing parts.

  • "He also has a friends chat named "Drakie" in which he can sometimes be found." Not included in the body of the article.
This can be removed, many players have friends chat (Zezima, Gertjaars, etc..)Green partyhat Mobbit100Talk 17:05, September 29, 2013 (UTC)
  • "In his time in the game Drakie was known for his performance in training skills easily and fast, same that most of the time he was joking with other players wherever he went." The meaning of this is unclear.
  • "Fact that generated several comments where he passed." Unclear
  • What do you mean by "emerged as one of the largest clans in the Brazilian scenario of the minigame"?

Merchers

Well written informative, one of the few articles with references + plenty of images to grip the reader. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.22.128.22 (talk contribs)

Support-Nice article and I believe it would be a decent featured article.--Lord zezima (talk) 09:57, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Oppose - I think not Green partyhat Mobbit100Talk

Oppose - There are just too many problems with this article. For example, the article contains questionable claims, such as the claim he created the first merchanting clan, that are not supported by reliable sources. The article cites Gameolosophy, which allows user-submitted content and a blog, which has the same problem. Out of the list of references, only his YouTube channel would be considered a reliable source by our standards. The article also contains several grammatical errors and does not fully conform to the Manual of Style. The article needs a lot of improvement before becoming featured. Smithing (talk | contribs) 03:02, January 28, 2013 (UTC)

Support- could be featured--Bezza160(talk)

Oppose - It just doesn't compare to Zezima and Larryr. Take a look at those two, and then Merchers. It's not FA material, and there are a lot of unsourced claims. Haidro Talk 00:25, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

Support - I know him he is a nice person and featuring would be great. Hunster50(talk) 18:04, January 29, 2013 (UTC)

Neutral - In terms of potential it could be a good featured article, you would then get a breadth of featured articles, skiller, most famous runescape player ever and famous merchant. Merchers could have the potential to bring in interest from merchants however there are some improvements, Runescape forums should be cited there are multiple posts in 2007-2008 that could be used if someone had them. In addition some more information on his current position should be included and possibly quotes from Merchers himself using a reliable youtube video would create more interest. In the future I think it has the potential to be featured however I think there are too many flaws at the moment and as smithing says I would say 3 references are reliable, but in all fairness Larryr could be better sourced as well.Zebez20 (talk) 16:32, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Note: I crossed out deceiving comments made by the nominator. Smithing (talk | contribs) 06:15, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Closed - There is no consensus to feature this article. The main concern brought up is the article contains unsourced claims and some of the references it contains are unreliable. Zebez20 also brought up the point that the article could be expanded. Smithing (talk | contribs) 02:54, April 1, 2013 (UTC)

Jebrim

I think it's a fairly good article. It is well referenced, goes into good detail about some of his accomplishments and is organized well. It doesn't have an image because I can't find a good quality image of him, but an article really doesn't need an image to be featured. Smithing (talk | contribs) 02:43, April 1, 2013 (UTC)

Here's a good one I took years ago that you can use: http://puu.sh/3jOND.png Jebrim (talk) 03:56, June 20, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! I've added it to the article. Smithing (talk | contribs) 17:49, June 20, 2013 (UTC)

Huge Ego

because everyone likes to troll him and hes a nice guy and a lot say mean things about him cause hes made some enemies in the past and i'm sure they will edit his page and change it to mean stuff. but overall hes a nice guy :] —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Huge Ego (talk contribs)

  • not a good article, and ur statements to be a featured article are ridiculous/biased.Green partyhat Mobbit100Talk 15:19, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

Comments - Hey, articles aren't featured due to the quality of the player, but because of the quality of the article. It doesn't really matter how nice he is, that isn't going to increase the likelihood that this article is going to be featured. Anyway, this article definitely needs a lot of improvement. I'll leave some (in no way exhaustive) comments below:

  • Lead section: "He always plays in world 48. He is in the clan called "Maxed"." sounds dull, since they're of similar length. I'd recommend using a conjunction to connect them.
  • The lead section contains content that the body of the article does not contain. For example, it states the Huge Ego is in the clan "Maxed", although this info is not included anywhere in the body. The manual of style states the the lead section should only summarize the body of the article.
  • History: It states that he has played in world 28 ever since 2007, in present tense, then goes on to say that he later moved into world 48. Past tense should be used for historic events, per RSP:TENSE.
  • Achievements and goals: Avoid using currently. As of what date is this information accurate?
  • Try to use captions to clarify the relevance of some of the images to the article, per RSP:MOS#Images.
  • Images should contain alternative text using the |alt= parameter.
  • Avoid chat box images, per RSP:IMG#File quality and use in articles.
  • Any images used in the article should have an appropriate license added to them. In-game screenshots etc. are copyright Jagex and should include a fair use rationale. See RSP:IMG#Non-free files for more info.
  • I notice from the RuneTrack page that Huge Ego has had other names in the past. Some of those should be mentioned in the article. Smithing (talk | contribs) 19:44, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

Closed - No consensus to feature this article. Last edit made on June 25, 2013. Article minimum, needs a lot of improvement and could be expanded.‎ Green partyhat Mobbit100Talk 03:31, August 31, 2013 (UTC)

Motor City

Motor City is fairly well known all around RuneScape. He's been playing since 2001, before fishing came out as a skill. A veteran in this game. Also has a YouTube channel that is pretty well known. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Motor City (talk contribs)

Comment - Why do you think this article is one of the best on the wiki? Smithing (talk | contribs) 12:42, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
