RuneScape Players Wiki:Featured images

Featured images are images considered to be the best in the RuneScape Players Wiki, as determined by editors. The images add significantly to articles, either by illustrating article content particularly well, or being eye-catching to the point where users will want to read its accompanying article.

Criteria

In addition to meeting the images and media policy, a featured image:

1. Is of a high technical standard.
   • (a) It has good contrast and neutral colour balance.
   • (b) It has no significant compression artifacts or other processing anomalies.
   • (c) Its main subject is in focus and the image has no highly distracting elements.
2. Is among the RuneScape Players Wiki's best work. It illustrates the subject in a compelling way, making the viewer want to know more.
3. Adds significant encyclopedic value to an article it appears in.
4. Avoids inappropriate digital manipulation.
   • (a) Manipulation such as cropping is acceptable.
   • (b) Any manipulation which causes the main subject to be misrepresented is unacceptable.

Nominating an image for featured status

1. Put {{Featured image nomination}} in the image description page.
2. In the form below, replace "NAME" with the name of the image you want featured. If it is a second nomination, be sure to add "2nd nomination/" before the name (i.e., RuneScape Players Wiki:Featured images/2nd nomination/File:Example.png).
3. Add a reason why you think the image you are nominating should be featured.
4. Under the "Featured image nominations" section below, add {{RuneScape Players Wiki:Featured images/NAME}}, replacing "NAME" with the image you nominated.

After the nomination

1. Move the nomination page to the current archive.

Neutral - No AA, the hill kinda ruins the scenery (high one point, low the other), but the concept of friendship looks nice :). If this was better quality and taken with an Orb of Oculus, I think it would have potential. Haidro ^Talk 08:06, January 15, 2013 (UTC)
