1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
Reverting vandalism via the rollback tool, blocking persistent vandals, deleting pages that fit the criteria for speedy deletion/have an expired and valid proposal for deletion.
2. What are your best contributions to the RuneScape Players Wiki, and why?
I've been regularly reverting vandalism, marking pages for deletion, warning users etc. for the past few days. Ordinarily, I'd think about waiting at least a week to two weeks before requesting admin permissions, but this wiki seems to suffer from a disproportionate amount of vandalism and seems to be in need of another active admin or two. I'm familiar with the wiki-specific policies, and would very much like to see the notability proposition passed (if this were to happen then I'd be available to help with identifying and deleting or moving eligible pages, which will undoubtedly number in the hundreds or even thousands).
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Although this is admittedly a fresh account, I have several years of experience with Wikia, Wikipedia and MediaWiki sites in general, on many of which I have taken on an administrative role. I therefore have a sound understanding of administrative tools and Wiki markup in general. I maintain professionalism at all times and do not allow other users to upset me or cause me stress - unless a matter calls for personal opinion, I follow procedures and policies rather than letting personal judgement cloud my view. I have not been in any editing conflicts on or off the RuneScape Players Wiki.
If you believe my request to be premature, then that's perfectly understandable - I'll just carry on as normal and consider reapplying in the future if this is the case. - John Pot (talk) 23:32, July 19, 2014 (UTC)
