King Stokie Help

Hello John, my names Jack.

I am currently compiling a more accurate up to date page for King Stokie as the old one was about a year out of sync.

I am a little confused about the cititation, the methods i have used to obtain the information about him are from...

Runescape Hiscores, he was rank 1 in cooking multiple times for gaining the most xp in a month/week ect ect he was also rank 1 in dungeoneering when it came out.

His wealth is relativly commonly known in world 23, a lot of his friends are there and would confirm.

Silent0core (a popular youtuber), Beast 0n Dem and Lovesie have also shown his wealth via Twitch Streaming.

The Clans he was in we got from speaking to him over the years, reading his planted vex's and his Adventures Log, he was in his personal clan, then MG, MI, Clan Zezima (in which he can still be found guesting) and Jagex (a now disabled clan).

If you ask him how he made money then exactly how he flipped, the information at the bottom regarding his flipping is practically a quote from what he has said and would say.

I am not added by him but we sometimes talk if he is in G.E and his PM is often on because of buying items from the forums, if you have any queries if you introduced yourself I am sure he will assist you with anything you may need.

I hope you can help us out with a few things to ensure the page is corrosponding with the rules.

Thanks buddy,

Jack —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.115.65.15‎ (talk contribs)

Apex pro speedily deletion

I didn't speedily delete the page as you suggested since it didn't meet any of the criteria for speedy deletion. I also want to give anyone who may be interested in updating the article time to add any citations to assuage any concerns the article contains dubious info.

Perhaps the confusion came from some of the reasons I've used for previous deletions. I do use "Lacks meaningful content" when explaining some of my deletions. When I delete articles for this reason, I usually mean that the article contains information that doesn't really give me any idea or context of the player. For example, say we take an article titled "Player A". Say the article consists only of the text "Player A quit", which I unfortunately see far too common. This doesn't really give me any idea of who the player is; in other words, it doesn't give me any context. "No context" is a criteria for speedy deletion. It's my mistake for deleting articles without using the relevant text from the criteria for speedy deletion, I'll make sure not to do this again. RE:Sockpuppetry and in-game scamming concerns

First, I blocked II HoSTiLe II and 108.198.219.20, thanks for informing me about them.

As for Zezimaaa and RunescapeFanBoy, it definitely does seem as though they are accounts being used by King Stokie. At the moment, I can't do anything more about them since I don't have enough evidence that they are being used for malicious purposes or to deceive anyone. Usually people are blocked for sockpuppetry if they have been blocked on another account or they are contributing to a discussion on multiple accounts. I'll definitely keep your suspicions in mind and ask staff to do a checkuser on them in case any of this happens.

As for the King Stokie article, I definitely would recommend starting a deletion discussion on it. It definitely seems like a large portion of the article is questionable. I hope this helps. Smithing (talk | contribs) 01:59, July 24, 2014 (UTC)

King Stokie's Page

Remove the deletion request please we have worked hard to gather as much as possible to put into this wiki page as a present to him.

We are struggling with citation, what we dont get is how to actually link the citation tags to a link going to where the information can be found.

A few examples:

We know his wealth from Twitch streaming and in-game trades... how do we add citation for this?

Another is he was and is Rank 1 in cooking for the most xp gained in a week, quite a few times... we dont know how to actually link it or lay it out... if we told you now that in june, vritus torva was rank 1 for most xp in one of those weeks, could you please add that citation as an example so we can take it from there?

Thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.115.65.15 (talk contribs)

King Stokie (RE)

Thanks john, his ad log link was inserted at the end of the page, i added those as links to try and count as citation as we are really unsure on how to do these things.

Yeah if you could go ahead and look in HIscores, Cooking, June, one of the weeks he is rank 1, that is the source i am assuming you need to prove he was rank 1, if you could add the citation for that so we can see exactly how it works we will take it from there.

Yeah his trades have been shown by Beast 0n dem and silentc0re, silentc0re once being a member of 3RD AGE DRAGONZ, im sure the name of the clan can be found in a few of his older videos on youtube where his chat box is, if that helps in anyway?

Thanks mate. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.115.65.15 (talk contribs)

King Stokie Citation

Hello again mate, cheers for that.

Could you now show us how to get the little [1] citation link that refers to the ref at the bottom of the page.

I hope you know what i mean, where it says [Citation Needed] how do i change that box to the correct number corrosponding the to the bottom of the page?

P.S... may you remove the article from deletion process please.

Thanks,

Martha. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.115.65.15 (talk contribs)

RE:File deletion

There isn't any policy that deals with unused free images. If you want, you can add a suggestion at Forum:Deletion criteria suggesting unused media also be speedily deleted (or delayed speedily deleted). In any case, I have no strong opinion to deleting unused free files so long as they have a license. Smithing (talk | contribs) 15:31, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

You're now an admin

Congrats! You're now an admin. If need any help with your new tools or anything else, feel free to ask. Smithing (talk | contribs) 15:40, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, Smithing. I'll let you know if I need any assistance. - John Pot (talk) 17:42, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

Overhaul of discussion pages

Just to let you know, I will be overhauling some of the discussion pages on the wiki to make it easier to understand some of the discussion processes. I'll also be splitting some pages to avoid jumbling too many discussions onto one page. This means that if you decide to close a discussion or start a discussion, you might need to follow a new process. If you have any suggestions on improving any of the discussion pages, I'd definitely like to hear it. Smithing (talk | contribs) 18:52, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

Notability

Hey. Would you mind coming into Chat for a moment? I want to discuss Forum:Notability with you. Smithing (talk | contribs) 14:40, August 18, 2014 (UTC)

My process for nominating non-notable articles for deletion

Ok, here's the way I'm nominating possible non-notable articles for deletion. I think it makes the process a lot quicker.
1. Add

/*** BEGIN TEMPLATES SCRIPT ***/

var toolbarTemplates = [];
var toolbarFillSummary = 1;
var toolbarFillHeader = 0;

// Add custom templates here

/* DO NOT EDIT THIS LINE! */
importScript('User:Smithing/templates.js');

/*** END TEMPLATES SCRIPT ***/

to Special:MyPage/wikia.js or Special:MyPage/monobook.js (depending on which skin you use). This adds a clickable toolbar to the top of the edit page that you can click to quickly add a Proposed deletion notice on an article page or user talk page. http://i.imgur.com/AJrBM0D.png
2. User:Smithing/DPL lists all the articles to check.
3. Once you click on an article on the list, the edit notice will include relevant links you can click (link to the page creator/RFD page/speedy deletion links). http://i.imgur.com/UQ2UuJo.png Smithing (talk | contribs) 17:38, August 18, 2014 (UTC)

The page I left off at is A1i5ha. I'm off. Smithing (talk | contribs) 19:01, August 18, 2014 (UTC)
I'll start at entry #1800 (Rafi). Smithing (talk | contribs) 12:55, August 19, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks

For covering my back on that revert ^_^ --— Scuzzy Beta (talk) 12:55, August 20, 2014 (UTC)

Page deletion and IP Hiding

Hi there, could you please delete the page for the player "Diamant" I created it as a Joke but then the person I made it about changed their mind on it and wants it removed. Also it shows various people's ip which they wish to remain hidden.

Also, could you please remove my ip from the page "Jaike"? I do not wish for that to be shown.

The same IP is also found on "JimsauceOnRS" and "Jake".

I am starting to get DDOSed since my IP has been visible on the wiki.

Hi, could you please remove the contect of the 'Destroy' page on this (runescape player's wiki), it includes personal information and photo's of the person and they do not wish them to be there.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 110.20.86.109 (talk contribs)

Bureaucrat

Would you mind if I nominated you for bureaucrat rights here? I'm probably not going to be very active here for the next couple months due to school commitments, so this would be as good a time as ever. Smithing (talk | contribs) 18:34, February 28, 2015 (UTC)

That's okay. Anyway, I nominated you here: RuneScape_Players_Wiki:Requests_for_permissions/2nd_nomination/John_Pot. Smithing (talk | contribs) 19:36, February 28, 2015 (UTC)
Also, we have new speedy deletion criteria after Forum:Deletion_criteria was closed as successful. Let me know if anything is unclear in my additions to RSP:CSD. Smithing (talk | contribs) 21:39, February 28, 2015 (UTC)

Community discussion pages

Hey, just wanted to run an idea by you. I was thinking that maybe we could get rid of some of the more inactive community discussion pages (Requests for undeletion, AWB requests, and Requests for permissions) since they're rarely used. These could easily be done through other processes. E.g., users could request permissions through a bureaucrat's talk page. If a page is recreated, it could either be deleted per RSP:CSD#G4 or, if the page was substantially improved, go through another deletion discussion.

We would be left with: Featured articles, featured images, requests for deletion, requests for adminship, and the Watercooler. What do you think? Smithing (talk | contribs) 02:55, March 8, 2015 (UTC)

You're now a bureaucrat

Congratulations! You can now give out rollback, custodian, adminship, and bot rights. Smithing (talk | contribs) 03:44, March 14, 2015 (UTC)

Hey, there is a lot of vandalism occuring on http://rsplayers.wikia.com/wiki/Drunk_Muffin, any chance you could restrict the IPs of the vandals, or restrict the editing to registered users only?

Thanks,

Admin Powers?

Hey, I really hate to ask this question, but I was wondering if I could be granted moderator-type powers for this wiki.

I've been active on this here for quite a few months now, checking on it several times a day and doing my best to undo any vandalism that pops up. When it's something I can't handle myself, I've been forwarding it to the VSTF for them to investigate.  I've been regularly editing pages to bring them up to wiki standards, such as updating old information and addihng information about them on the Hiscores.  When people have questions about the wiki, or want to know how to do something in particular for a page (Such as deleting it because the page is about them), I try to do my best to give them an answer.

If you could get back with me, I would really appreciate it.  Kent Knifen (talk) 18:10, July 30, 2015 (UTC)

Severe trolling

Hello, could you look into this specific page? [[1]] It's being vandalized and i think the user should be banned.

Need a thread deleted

Hello I was wondering if you could delete a article i made but no longer need for me? http://rsplayers.wikia.com/wiki/Dr_Blackston

Blackston (talk) 21:58, January 2, 2016 (UTC)Blackston

Hi Blackston,

As an admin on this Wiki, I can delete the page for you. For some reason though, the page you requested to be deleted redirects itself to Help:Delete. Looking at the history of that page, it appears to have been renamed to Help:Delete from Dr_Blackston, and is a duplicate of Help:Deletion. Is Help:Delete the correct page you want to be deleted?
