Hello, Rewlf2, and welcome to the RuneScape Players Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you may find helpful:
- The Community Portal, which has an outline of the site
- A list of policies and guidelines for the RuneScape Players Wiki
- The Manual of Style, containing instructions on formatting
- Administrator requests, where you can request help from administrators
I hope you enjoy it here! If you need help, you can ask questions at the Help desk, the talk page associated with each article, my talk page, or any other editor's talk page. Again, welcome! Smithing (talk | contribs) 16:27, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
- Okay but then what're the uses of Category:Free-to-play and Category:Runescape members? If you want to put all players into Category:Players the latter two would serve no purpose. -Rewlf2 13:57, October 7, 2012 (UTC)
To become an admin, you need consensus. Although there is a requests for permissions page for these tools, I'd recommend making a request at the Watercooler for now. Also, since we have a lot of policies and guidelines, it would be a good idea to skim through them as well. And to answer your question about short pages, there's no policy on deleting short pages; however, articles with no context (or content) is a speedy deletion criterion. I have a thing to tell you... I am famous! I don't only have 4000 views or what you said... People didn't knew me from some stupid YouTube videos, they are thinking I'm funny and awesome, that's why I'm famous.
This is opinion as well...... How can you justify these matters? Give a channel link? Give some in-game screenshots? As far as Jagex itself doesn't cite you (or some celebrity figures like player mods and Jagex mods) that cannot be justified. -Rewlf2 15:45, October 16, 2012 (UTC)
You don't understand being famous, you DON'T have to be a player, jagex, forum or what moderator, it doesn't care about level, total, skills... You only have to be friendly, have full list of friends (yeah, I have full, sometimes I have to add someone, but I don't delete, I just don't add new friends, because all of the list of my are who didn't quit). Anyway, I mean skills, level... DOESN'T CARE, people start loving you, being friends with you if you are friendly and funny, this is the way I become famous... To every person I meet I say "Say the world about me".
Are you just too concerned about three categories (which I doubt how many people will see), while several other users on this wiki are insisting to remove them? Anyway I don't recognize you in Youtube, RS or some other media. Your tone sounds like "I love you Rewlf2". I'd give it a pass. -Rewlf2 16:55, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
Your trying it too hard, calm down, take a sleep and seriuosly I don't love you, I would be stupid to love you, that is the worst chose of the life to love you. Anyway, if you are a man... ARE YOU GAY? Because I am a man too...
I'm trying to imply that: Too long didn't read. It has been fun to chat with someone that thinks in-game friends are worth his cause. Anyway it's not me now reverting the categories. -Rewlf2 17:47, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
Vilius, although it's true being a high-leveled player, Jagex Moderator etc. doesn't automatically imply fame, neither does having a full list of friends or being friendly. Rather, being famous just means many others known about you. Smithing (talk | contribs) 21:56, October 17, 2012 (UTC)
I am aware of the things Smithing mentioned. I am more concerned about his attitude. And then I was just giving an insight on a RS celebrity. What I actually did about the categories:
Saw others removing it, remove once with explanations (I actually googled his name and found a channel, which I took reference of it), and he came into the conversation. I don't remove his categories again but he kept chatting. -Rewlf2 00:29, October 18, 2012 (UTC)
Vilius, edit this ; http://rsplayers.wikia.com/wiki/User:Vilius2001, then you can write as much as you think you are famous and everything about you, happy? Lol, and stop offending others, show more respect. Mobbit100 (talk)
RE:Request for restrict of edit on Rienn Clare
Hey. Full protection usually isn't applied except for special circumstances (see RSP:PP). I've decided not to protect it because it wouldn't allow people to update the page (say, for example, you're combat level increased and you wanted to update the page to reflect that), and protecting pages usually goes against something the wiki is about, collaboration. I'd be willing to semi-protect the page though. Also, if you have a dispute or edit war with someone, the best way to deal with it would be through discussion. New counter-vandalism channel
Hey, Rewlf. The RuneScape Players Wiki now has a counter-vandalism channel on Freenode's Internet Relay Chat (IRC) at
connect. The channel feeds information about IP edits and other suspicious edits on this wiki in real-time. As I'm sure you know, vandalism in articles can cause a psychological impact on players, and these edits mean less site views and beneficial activity on this wiki. If you would like to join the channel and help us revert vandalism and deal with vandals quicker, it would be appreciated.
Also, I recommend you join the main RuneScape Players Wiki IRC channel at
connect. There are only four active users in the chat, and it would be nice to get more. :) If you need help registering on Freenode, you can visit this page or contact me for help. Thanks. Smithing (talk | contribs) 02:50, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
