Page Security Request
Edited on Aug 8th: Hello, this is the user who created the MeganHoliday (Now renamed Brooke) page. Recently I've noticed a lot of flame posting on this user page (to be expected with any I know), and I just went though it and cleaned it all up, and renamed it because I recently aqquired a new RSN.
Is there any way to stop people from making so many edits? Like having a security measure in place?
RE:Page Security Request
If we could do the first option about the person must have 10 edits, and been on the wikia for 4 days I would really appreciate that. :)
Thanks Smithing ^-^
I can not find anyway to move my page so now I need your help!
Hey just wondering if you could make the page "Jimmybobby" locked and unable to edit without the trolls being able to edit, which they're doing in Anon mode thanks :)
Trollers making fake pages:
I've got trollrs making more fake pages about myself, they're the same group as before, any chance you can delete or make it so no entries with the name Jimmybobby/Jeffery can be entered? Page is on Jimmybobby/Jeffery
Edit appears to be here too
Once again thanks for deleting the pages, not sure why these group of people targeting me specific, and pretty sure to the point of what they're doing is boarderline stalking/harassasing..
Hello, I have been watching this wiki over time and saw that there was quite some vandalism that often goes unnoticed. I have experience with wiki's, being a creator twice of the Zombie Escape wiki and Dear Esther wiki. I have to deal with vandalism on a weekly basis (though this changes obviously, sometimes there's nothing wrong for a month, other times a few vandals come together.). I would be glad to aid making this wiki a safer place against malicious edits. If you are interested feel free to leave a message on my profile's talk page. (You might notice a copy of this message to 2+2=4 his talk page, but since he didn't log in since 2010, I guess it would have gone unnoticed). --JorisCeoen 19:51, December 6, 2014 (UTC)
Issues with an editor
Hello, I have issues with an editor, adding rubbish to my personal page. Are you able to help me? He edits as aonymous under the IP 220.127.116.11.
Hello, I'm having issues with editor 18.104.22.168
Hi could you check my player page again - there has been huge vandalism, just like previous time. (edits by IP 22.214.171.124 ?)
Hi, can you check my page again? Vandalism.
Talk Page Conversation
Hey Smithing, Brandon here.
I'd prefer our conversations not be public, any chance you can delete them/ archive them somewhere else? Thanks
Also, I'd ask the same for your conversation with Jacob, since it was with my computer and thus my IP.

- I've gone ahead and removed them. Feel free to remove any discussion between us, including this one. Sorry you were blocked for removing them, it looks like a member of the Volunteer Spam Task Force incorrectly interpreted it as vandalism. Smithing (talk | contribs) 18:16, February 5, 2015 (UTC)
Hello Smithing, I'd be happy to receive a nomination for bureaucrat status on the wiki. My activity is likely to waver in the coming months due to external commitments too, but I should still manage to maintain a regular presence, at least from the administrative side of things. - John Pot (talk) 19:04, February 28, 2015 (UTC)
RE:Community discussion pages
Hello Smithing, I don't have a problem with removing the underused discussion pages, and I can't see it being controversial - they do seem rather redundant give that they aren't being utilised. The alternative processes which you outlined would achieve the same outcome without the need for extensive documentation, and would likely be more intuitive for the more 'casual' editors. - John Pot (talk) 00:53, March 9, 2015 (UTC)

Receiving Admin Powers
I was hoping I could be given admin rights to help curve the amount of vandalism going around on the wiki. I've been active for several months, and have a clean record - no warnings or blocks on any Wiki. If you could get with me on this, I'd really appreciate it. Kent Knifen (talk) 17:02, August 13, 2015 (UTC)
This has been resolved and the new Uloveme has made a seperate page, thanks for your time, Smithing :)
I've editted my previous post, because things are ok now
Hi smithing! I went ahead and made another wiki set up for the other player "uloveme" that is the current one and put it as (rs3)
So people are not confused with the two. and made it as plain as i can stating the two are diffrent for everyone. i spent alot of time on Uloveme_rs3. Its other people's job to fix uloveme's. wiki. i plan too upkeep the one made as long as i can as clean as i can.
Hopefully this settles the editing war from the people bothering you :] -Fh
RE:Receiving Admin Powers
It's been a week since I posted my request for Adminship. I was hoping you could accept/close it.
It can be found here.
Sorry to pop-by here on such subject as asking you to tone this newcomer from messin wif mi page will you. If it were possible I'd actually delete the whole page i didn't create to begin, but to hopefully end with! This newcomer was Kent Knifen(apparently above this very post), and coming from whaddya had replied in my very talk page I would be free to edit it without confirmation, is this outdated then? I sure hope not. And again sorry to be so extreme on this subject but i feel is best way to try end this little turmoil hoho. Edcy (talk) 09:17, August 21, 2015 (UTC)
The page for "3" indicates it is on the verge of deletion. The reason being that 1-character long names were not logged under the first 2000 accounts due to them originally not being able to be used.
Looking at the page, I honestly can't see why it should be proposed for deletion. Looking at the Notability Criteria, the page for 3 meets multiple notability criteria, these being Player Moderator status, Maximum Total Level, and Maximum Combat Level. Additionally, it appears the deletion template was added quite a long time ago, in August 2014. Interestingly enough, the deletion template was added to 3 a few hours before the Notability Criteria were created, so the notability criteria did not exist when the page was proposed for deletion.
Looking at the deletion policy, the page does not seem to meet any of those criteria. With these things in mind, I've gone ahead and removed the deletion template from the article for you. Kent Knifen admin (talk) 14:48, December 4, 2015 (UTC)
Page Cursed You Issue
Hey Smithing, there's a small issue that I was hoping you could weigh in on.
There's a user by the name of Curssed_You who is claiming to be the original Cursed You. He showed me a few screenshots that I didn't consider to be indisputable fact of him being Cursed You, but I joined his Twitch livestream as he requested and I saw him attempting to log into the Cursed You account, with the Runescape login telling him the account is disabled. In addition, he messaged a couple other people (Such as Player Mod Luke) who were previously known to have connections to Cursed You, who also said he is Cursed You.
Curssed_You is saying there is some information on the page that is inaccurate and wants to overhaul it with what he claims to be accurate information. What's your opinion on all this? Kent Knifen (talk) 23:42, February 19, 2016 (UTC)
Lost/Deleted image files
I noticed that some time ago you deleted the following image files and reported them for being unused:
This was something I came across while looking at the Lynx Titan wiki, and it seems like they were being used. Please let me know if this is something that's already been taken care of, I was just curious about what happened to those >.<
I would be willing to reupload them for the wiki if you decide that they need to be added again.
I've been asked to look into our custom user groups across Wikia this month and identify locations where custom groups are either redundant or unnecessary and try to eliminate them. The reason for this change is that Wikia, as we become more of a SAAS (Software as a Service)-centered software architecture, are developing a User Permissions service and custom groups greatly, greatly complicate an efficient service plus increases the odds of bugs in these "edge cases".
I'd like to see if you'd be open to migrating your only "Custodian", Scuzzy Beta, to a different position such as "Content Moderator", which has both permissions included in Custodian. Alternatively, we could give the two permissions to "rollback" and add him there if you are disinclined to Content Moderator. What are your thoughts? Thanks! --DaNASCAT (help forum | blog) 23:17, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Clavinet - Articles and Notability
I was just wondering if you might be able to give me better clarification of how this wiki runs in terms of new articles and such. Lately I've been coming across articles like this one that fail [RSPWIKI:NOTABILITY]. However there's a large volume of these I'm finding and they all look as if a lot of effort has been put into creating them, so I wouldn't want to shut them off completely.
Could there be a template like this? There are a lot of articles that it is applicable for, even people who are/were high ranked on the Hiscores.

Concerned about something
I noticed some weird things recently about someone and the articles they've made. RDM is their own page, and MySQLi is a page they made that looks like an attack/name+shame page against someone they claim is a Phisher/hacker (which had no evidence) - Meanwhile, their page talks about how they're an "Anti phisher" so there is clearly some kind of conflict so I added requests for some references.
I did some digging and found some disturbing things on the website they linked. First of all, they have a pastebin account where they have posted a dox they created about someone, as well as a guide for using a cheating program. The website also links hundreds of phishing URL/youtube links (It currently has a warning at the top as you can see, however it seems to have been added after I joined their Discord and asked what the page was for).
The biggest one is a public dump uploaded of hundreds of compromised accounts, email addresses, and I can see no other reason to do this than to have a cross-referable list to use while checking against leaked password databases. Another one is a Runescape autoclicking bot.
I don't know exactly what is going on but the website, with the combination of links to all of these phishing links, dox, botting is concerning and definitely makes me question their claims and claims made against other people.
Edit: As I was typing they've reverted my warning regarding the website - I guess I could have made it more clear regarding having malicious links and everything else (hover wasn't seeming to work when I put a really long explanation), but still it's pretty weird
Edit: There is another HUGE thing, however I don't want to say on a public page like this so if you can message me in private somehow if you need more info, or in a chat or something
Would you be open to messaging over discord / twitter? I believe we have conflicting time zones, making private messaging through chat a little tricky for the both of us.
I will try to idle in Special:Chat as well in order to start a private message conversation, hopefully it will work if I am not there and PMs don't get wiped automatically
Something odd happened when updating this page
I didn't change anything around the Deletion templates subsection, the only thing I did was add the 2 templates in the relevant tables with the source editor so I'm not sure what caused it even looking back at the diff of the change. The templates shown in the deletion subsection have |category=no both before and after the edit, which would imply that it shouldn't add any categories.
Hello Smithing, I am hoping to get my Runescape player wiki page updated. (http://rsplayers.wikia.com/wiki/Im_Choice) Currently at the bottom of the page the external links for the highscores and runemetrics point to my alt account "im_choice" but I have changed my name to "Choice". I tried to do this myself but I could not figure out how to in the source editor. I appreciate any help!
SpecialOperationsTrooper here. Hello, Smithing. Name's Rain Ninja(my biography is the "Monster Wolf" page), pleasure to meet you.
Two things: First off could I be granted bureaucrat?(My wiki account is "SpecialOperationsTrooper") I would like to be able to effectively edit pages others have left behind.
Secondly: the "Local Moderator" page- I believe it doesn't need to exist there. This is a rsplayers wiki, afterall. There's the mainstream runescape, oldschool, and even a classic wiki. The regular runescape.wikia.com has "Local Moderators" as a page already. I don't want to duplicate the page, nor do I want to replace the page on this wiki with that page because I firmly believe "Local Moderators" doesn't need to be justified on here; other than finding a player that is one (Like I did with "Cm Niall") and placing them into the wiki.
The mainstream wiki can hold office. We, us, this wiki, hold the hall of fame that the High Scores yearned for.
Here is a link to the "Local Moderators" on runescape.wikia.com. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Local_Moderator
On rsplayers it speaks about how the "Local Moderators" can only be from foreign servers- that's not true with me having found "Cm Niall." SpecialOperationsTrooper out.
I've noticed the lack of P.D.A. to your messaging system here. Whether you like it personally like that or it's never been brought up... There's a wiki out there specifically designed to helped every wikia imaginable. I have learned many a thing from the said place.
It's called "Community Central." Here, community.wikia.com
It gives help on how to maintain wikis, locate special privileges Admins are oblivious to (like how to find everyone, ever, at once that had/has admin. "special:Listadmins"), directions, bureaucracy, excetra. Made for regular people.
Hi there, we received an email request from a Runescape player which I cannot really decipher. Perhaps the request is more meaningful to you, so here is the original text of the request:
Hello i am Housan Creator Of Housan III and H O U S A N
-My name is H O U S A N now, i no longer use Housan III so can we please change any/all references towards Housan III as the First 99 def/Hp and put only as H O U S A N. Would mean alot to me!! Thank you very much.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fuENkojPZs Featured at 8 mins here- as you can see the last name i had was H O U S A N
https://rsplayers.fandom.com/wiki/H_O_U_S_A_N Can we update this too say "Long player of Runescape highly dedicated, was the only player in OSRS to obtain 2 99s first in the world, H O U S A N almost always held the highest combat level mile stone during his rise. He was aswell rank 1 overall for a short time after Rezzeh was banned, Has Recently started back after a 5 year break.
Hey, is it possible for you to delete the 'Helvanica' page?
It's my account which I'd rather not have the info out for others, don't really know why I created it in the first place when I did.
delete troll page
a troll made a page name "Papi ChuloPR" and ive been deleteing all that is written in it
Please protect my page
Not sure how to message on here...but my page got vandalized and a user tried doxing me. The changes were reverted but I'm requesting my page be protected as nothing needs to be changed Can this please be done? The user who vandalized it was also blocked apparently
a recent edit
A recent edit of mine was deleted from a page, and I just wanted to say that I didn't intentionally vandalise the page and everything I added to the page was not incorrect and everything that was said I have images and videos to corroborate. I'd be happy to provide proof if you need it.
Former Pages for deletion
I still havnt gotten Kent Knifen to delete "GROM Viper", and recently I have changed my name to "Sebastian003". I changed it after I attained 99 Prayer on OSRS, I just need to get 120 range on RS3 now- so the name change was paramount. I wont play again for a couple of years (get some furniture, maybe a gaming table-setup, and so on) but I have quit OSRS. Could you delete "GROM Viper" and "Killer Viper"? They're spam now.--SpecialOperationsTrooper 19:12, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
I was a contributor for the player Redefinition's page. The page was recently vandalised by another user and since I anticipate this happening again, I would like to ask if you could delete the page in its entirety. If that isn't possible, it'd be great if you could revert the changes made by user "redefrappergod" (a troll account) and lock the page so that it can't be edited again?
Many thanks :)
