I saw that you changed information on the 9hp accounts page (http://rsplayers.wikia.com/wiki/Players_with_level_9_Constitution) about how people got 9 hp. Can you provide a source that shows that the information you posted is correct? As far as I (and a lot of other people) know, the old information is correct. I don't think changing it without providing a source is a good idea.

I also see you changed the RS Wikia page with the same information.

I would suggest you revert changes on both pages unless you can provide a source.

There are several ways to confirm this:
  • You can log into RSC, check your starting Hits XP, then train another skill to level 9/10 and check the XP needed. Currently all RS members can log into RSC, so you have a chance. I created a new RSC account last year and you still start with 1000 Hits XP. I suggest Firemaking, it's quite fast.
  • Check a 2003-era source on the XP curve. Alternatively, you can dig into the RSC client's code, and extract the formula, since it's there too.
  • It's discussed in one of the streams with Ian Gower on the RuneScape YouTube channel. Can't currently confirm which one prompted me to change this, but I think it's either mentioned in this one or one of the Mythbusters specials. (Edit: just downloaded the subtitles, they start talking about it at 26:15, Mod Mark gives the correct explanation at 26:35). {{SUBST:Signatures/Stormykins}} 16:49, October 10, 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for replying me with the sources! Interesting and surprising to hear I must say.

I'm just annoyed that it's difficult to explain (even the jmods in that video struggled with it). My initial wording of "corrected" isn't something I'd use right now. Basically when RS2 was launched only the XP was transferred, not the level, which was recorded separately as level 10. Instead levels were re-calculated which resulted in level 9s. {{SUBST:Signatures/Stormykins}} 12:54, October 17, 2017 (UTC)
